MYRON I. MURDOCK, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a university trained urologist and a nationally recognized expert in the fields of sexual dysfunction and incontinence, male and female. He graduated from Boston University with a B.A. in biology, and graduated with an M.D. from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. From 1968 to 1970 he completed an internship and was a general surgery resident at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Murdock then served in the military as a general surgeon and urologist. In 1975 he completed his residency in urology at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Murdock received Board Certification in urology in 1977, is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Urological Association, its Middle Atlantic division, and the Washington Urologic Society. He is a founding member of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and the Impotence Institute of North America. He has been involved in clinical research in urology for 30 years and is a founding member of the Urologic Governing Board of Affiliated Research Centers of America. In 2003 he served as President of the Prince George’s County, Maryland Medical Society. Dr. Murdock is the founder of hisandherhealth.com, an award winning medical website, and has appeared often in the media, including Fox television, CNN, CSPAN, National Public Radio, and the National Press Club. |
JONAH MURDOCK, M.D., Ph.D. is a university trained urologist who specializes in robotic and laparoscopic surgery to treat urologic cancer and other noncancerous conditions. In 1991 he graduated with honors with a B.A. from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota, and completed a Ph.D. in philosophy at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. In 2003 Dr. Murdock graduated with an M.D. from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed a general surgery internship and was a resident in general surgery at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. from 2003 to 2005. In 2009 Dr. Murdock completed his residency in urology at Georgetown University Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Murdock is a member of the American Urological Association, its Middle Atlantic division, the American College of Surgeons, the Washington Urologic Society, the Endourological Society, the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and a past member of the American Philosophical Association. He has been a college philosophy teacher and has lectured on topics ranging from ethics to the history and philosophy of medicine. He has published on a wide range of topics, including laparoscopic urologic surgery, ethics, and health care policy. He is married and has two school-age children. |
